Meeting of the Chairman of the Board of SB "Amonatbonk" with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation

On December 10, 2021 Ikromi Sirodjiddin Salom, Chairman of the Board of the SSB RT "Amonatbonk" held an online meeting with Carlos de Barros Serrao and S. Eric Oppers members of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

At the beginning of the meeting the Chairman of the Board of the SSB RT "Amonatbonk" provided detailed information about the financial activities of the bank and noted that Amonatbonk as a state bank and one of the system forming banks of the Republic of Tajikistan is ready for the fruitful and versatile cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, which in general is aimed at the development of the banking system of Tajikistan.

The International Monetary Fund Carlos de Barros Serrao and S.S. Eric Oppers noted that a new project of technical assistance is being implemented, which was supported by the National Bank of Tajikistan to ensure financial stability.

During the meeting, it was noted that the Financial Sector Stability Review (FSSR) Technical Assistance Program was launched in 2017 and the Republic of Tajikistan received support for its implementation from the IMF at the request of the National Bank of Tajikistan.

In conclusion, the parties expressed interest in further strengthening of effective cooperation and continuing of meetings and dialogue within the framework of this project on development of banking system of the country.
